Cabinet Of Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh
The Cabinet of Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, was established following the 2017 Mongolian presidential election, and the election by the Mongolian parliament of Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh to the office of the Prime Minister of Mongolia on 4 October 2017. The cabinet was submitted for approval on 13 October, and sworn in on 18 October On June 24, 2020, Mongolian People's Party was re-elected to the State Great Khural, parliament with a landslide victory. On July 7, 2020, the Mongolian parliament approved Khürelsükh's cabinet structure of 14 ministries: six general and eight functional. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports was split into Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Culture. Davaajantsangiin Sarangerel () (born 1963) is a former photographer, journalist and the current Member of State Great Khural and Minister of Environment and Tourism in U.Khürelsükh's Second Cabinet. She served as Minister of Health in U.Khürelsükh's First Cabinet. Sarangerel was born in Ulaanbaatar in 1963. After finishing her schooling in 1979, she went to Russia to study photography at the Omsk State University (1983). For two years, she worked with the Montsame news agency as a photographer, before receiving her degree in journalism from the Rostov University in 1990. Sarangerel pursued a career in journalism and in 1990 became a correspondent for the Mongolian state broadcaster, where she later became its editor-in-chief. Brigadier general Gürsediin Saikhanbayar ( mn, Гүрсэдийн Сайханбаяр) is a Mongolian politician, public administration manager and military officer who has been the Minister of Defense of Mongolia since 2020. He is the 36th minister since the establishment of the ministry in 1911 and the 17th since the end of communism in 1990. He holds the rank of Brigadier General, awarded to him in 2016.
