Cabinet Of South Sudan
The Cabinet of South Sudan is the Executive Branch of the Government of South Sudan. The Cabinet members are appointed by the President and report to the President. Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU) Under the terms of 2018 Revitalized Peace Agreement that came into effect on 22 February 2020, South Sudan is governed by a Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU). This government is led by a cabinet of 35 members. Under the terms of the agreement, SPLM will nominate 20 ministers, SPLM-IO will nominate nine ministers, South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) will nominate 3, former detainees will nominate 2 and the remaining minister will be nominated by other parties to the agreement. Executive Branch
The Executive, also referred as the Executive branch or Executive power, is the term commonly used to describe that part of government which enforces the law, and has overall responsibility for the governance of a State (polity), state. In political systems based on the separation of powers, such as the United States of America, USA, government authority is distributed between several branches in order to prevent power being concentrated in the hands of a single person or group. To achieve this, each branch is subject to checks by the other two; in general, the role of the Legislature is to pass laws, which are then enforced by the Executive, and interpreted by the Judiciary. Deng Alor Kuol ( ar, دينق ألور) is a South Sudanese politician. Currently the minister of East African Community Affairs in President Salva Kiir's government, he is a member of the Ngok Dinka ethnic group, and was born in Abyei region, an oil-producing border region between Northern and Southern Sudan. More than 99% of Abyei's Ngok Dinka voted to be united with their fellow Dinka in neighbouring South Sudan. In October 2007, Alor was appointed Foreign Minister of Sudan, replacing fellow Southern Sudanese politician Lam Akol, in what was seen as an attempt to appease the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement. Angelina Jany Teny was born in 1953 in what is today Unity State, South Sudan.
