Clubul Sportiv Făurei, commonly known as CS Făurei, or simply as Făurei, is a Romanian amateur football club based in Făurei, Brăila County, founded in 2002. The club is currently playing in the Liga IV. Owner, manager and also player of the team is former Romanian international Bănel Nicoliță. History CS Făurei was founded on 22 March 2002 to continue the football tradition in the town, football tradition started by Unirea Făurei, team that had as the best performance two consecutive seasons in the Divizia C, in the early 1990s. Făurei is an important railway node in Romania, the 5th in the country according to the number of connections with other localities, of which three double, electrified lines. In the immediate vicinity and partly on its administrative territory is located the largest railway ring in South-Eastern Europe, inaugurated in the 1970s. Liga IV Brăila is the county association football, football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Brăila County, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed between 11 teams, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series. 2019–20 Liga III
The 2019–20 Liga III was the 64th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season was initially scheduled to begin on 24 August 2019 and to end on 30 May 2020. The season was interrupted on 9 March 2020, after 16 rounds, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After two months of inactivity, on 11 May 2020, the Romanian Football Federation announced that the season was discontinued and the best ranked teams from each series (after 16 rounds) were promoted to Liga II, only if the distance between the leader and the runner-up was bigger than 3 points. Otherwise promotion play-offs will be played between the best two teams of the series. 2022–23 Cupa României
The 2022–23 Cupa României is the 85th season of the annual Romanian primary football knockout tournament. The winner will qualify for the second qualifying round of the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League. It is the first season in which the Round of 16 was replaced by a play-off, immediately followed by a group stage, in which the best 8 teams from Liga 1 will also enter directly. In this round, the 24 teams remaining in the competition will be divided into 4 groups of 6, two each from value boxes 1, 2 and 3.
