CS Conpet Ploiești
Clubul Sportiv Conpet Ploiești, also known as Conpet Ploiești, was a Romanian football club from Strejnicu, Prahova County. Founded in 1968 and disbanded in 2015, Conpet played fifteen consecutive seasons in the third football division in Romania between 1999 and 2014. The club played at the Conpet Stadium in Strejnicu, located 3 km from Ploiești and was supported financially by Conpet, the national operator for transporting crude oil and derivatives through pipelines from Romania. History Founded in 1968, Conpet played most of its history in the lower leagues, managing to promoted in Liga III at the end of the 1998–99 season after won Liga IV – Prahova County. With Marius Vișan as head coach, Conpet finished the 2006–07 campaign on seventh place. Stadionul Conpet is a multi-purpose stadium, frequently used for football. It is located in Strejnicu, Prahova County. It is occasionally the home ground of Astra II and was the home ground of Conpet. The stadium holds 1,732 people. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia D into Liga IV before the start of play for the 2006–07 season. Current format Liga IV has 42 divisions. The divisions are regionalised and are organised by every county association. Each team plays in their own county. The county associations decide how many teams play in the league and how many matches each side plays. In Romania the most frequently used system is one division with matches played home and away. A number of associations prefer 2 or even 4 parallel divisions with the teams finishing first meeting in a play-off to decide the champion. The Romanian football league system, also known as the football pyramid, refers to the system in Romanian club football that consists of several football leagues bound together hierarchically by promotion and relegation.
