CSU Ploiești
CSU Ploieşti was a Romanian professional basketball club, based in Ploiești, Romania. The club competed in the Liga Națională, and was the most successful club of the 21st century, winning ten consecutive championships between 2004–2010 and 2012-2014 as well as six Romanian cups. In 2005, the team won the FIBA EuroCup Challenge. The club was known as CSU Asesoft for most of its existence for sponsorship reasons. History Founded in 1998, Asesoft soon established itself as an emerging power with appearances in the Liga Națională finals in 2001 and the semifinals in 2002 and 2003. Asesoft European debut came in the 2003–04 EuroChallenge. That season the team made history by beating Dinamo București for its first Romanian League title. Liga Națională (men's Basketball)
The Liga Națională Baschet de Masculin (LNBM) () is the top-tier professional basketball league of Romania. Founded in 1950, the winner of the league is crowned the Romanian national champion. Currently, the league consists of 24 teams playing in three different divisions. The most successful club in the league's history is Dinamo București, who has won a record 22 titles. The clubs from the Liga Națională also participate in the European competitions, as they can qualify for the Basketball Champions League or the FIBA Europe Cup based on their performance in the national league and cup competition. CB Sant Josep
Club Bàsquet Sant Josep was a professional basketball team based in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. History The club was founded in 1962 by Ramon Sitjà as CB Sant Josep. In 1989 it became the Anonymous Sport Association (SAD). In 1987, when the ACB was enlarged to 24 teams, CB Girona entered the first division. In 1991, the club had to buy the rights of the Granollers EB to stay in the ACB as they were going to be relegated to the second division. In 2007, Girona won the FIBA EuroCup championship, which was hosted at Palau Girona-Fontajau arena. They beat Azovmash Mariupol in the final after having beaten Adecco Estudiantes in the semifinals. Nikola Bulatović (born June 14, 1971) is a Montenegrin professional basketball coach and former player, who is an current assistant coach for Podgorica of the Prva A Liga and the ABA League Second Division. Playing career Bulatović started his career in his hometown team Budućnost Podgorica. He was part of Partizan Belgrade squad that won national league and cup in 1994–95 season. He helped FMP Železnik to win their first national cup trophy in 1997 before returning to Budućnost, where he won two consecutive national titles. Antonio Alexe
Antonio Alexe (21 December 1969 – 21 January 2005) was a Romanian professional basketball player. He played for Oradea (1988-1993), Szolnoki Olaj KK (Hungary, 1995-1998), Sopron (Hungary, 1999-2000), West Petrom Arad (2000-2002), Falco KC Szombathely (Hungary, 2002-2003) and CSU Asesoft Ploiesti (2003-2005). He died in a car accident. The Arena Antonio Alexe is named after him. Personal life He was born on 21 December 1969 in Constanţa. Alexe was married and had daughter, Paula (born 1995). He died on 21 January 2005 in a car accident in Sinaia and over 1,500 people participated at his funeral. Career Club career He started playing basketball at 11 years old. In 1988 he transferred to Dinamo Oradea, where he was trained by Dan Berceanu.
