CR Guará
Clube de Regatas Guará, commonly known as Guará, was an association football club from Guará, a satellite town just west of the Brazilian capital of Brasília. They won the championship of the Federal District, the Campeonato Brasiliense of 1996 and competed in 1979 in the national first division, the Série A. Guará's colors are yellow, black and white and taken from the official colours of the Administrative Region of Guará. Their badge its inspired by the one of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista of São Paulo. History CR Guará was founded on January 9, 1957, by employees of the Departamento de Topografia Humana. Oswaldo Cruz Viera, who was one of the founders, was the club's first president. Guará () is an administrative region in the Federal District in Brazil. It is bordered by SIA to the north, Sudoeste/Octogonal and Candangolândia to the west, Núcleo Bandeirante to the south, Park Way to the southeast, and Águas Claras to the east, and Vicente Pires to the northeast. Brasília
Brasília (; ) is the federal capital of Brazil and seat of government of the Federal District. The city is located at the top of the Brazilian highlands in the country's Central-West region. It was founded by President Juscelino Kubitschek on 21 April 1960, to serve as the new national capital. Brasília is estimated to be Brazil's third-most populous city. Among major Latin American cities, it has the highest GDP per capita. Campeonato Brasiliense is the football league of the Federal District, Brazil. It is organized by the Distrito Federal Football Federation. Teams from other states can be affiliated to the Distrito Federal Football Federation (FFDF) as long as they are located within 200 km from Brasília. This is the case of Associação Atlética Luziânia from the state of Goiás and Unaí Esporte Clube from the state of Minas Gerais. Copa Centro-Oeste ( en, Center-West Cup) was a Brazilian football competition contested between Center-West region teams and teams from the Southeastern State Espírito Santo.
