CNBC-e (TV Channel)
CNBC Turkey was a Turkish free-to-air television channel operated in Turkey by CNBC Europe and the İlbak Holding. The channel also produces a weekly 15-minute programme in English, ''Business Turkey'', which airs at weekends on CNBC Europe and is one of the few CNBC programmes still using the channel's 2000 on-air identity, though only for its opening titles. The schedule contains education, culture, drama, entertainment, music and sports programs and news with commercial breaks. Former CNBC-e was sold to Discovery Communications and replaced with TLC on 6 November 2015. Turkish broadcasting The channel's business day programmes used the same on-air look like CNBC Europe. ''Street Signs'' is a television business program that originally aired on CNBC, and currently airs on CNBC Asia and CNBC Europe. Before the Asian version debuted on March 31, 2014, it was broadcast on CNBC at 2:00pm ET. The CNBC United States version's final episode aired on February 6, 2015, due to ''Power Lunch'' returning to a two-hour format. ''European Closing Bell'' (prior to June 2003 known as ''European Market Wrap'') is a television programme aired on business news channel CNBC Europe from 5pm to 6pm CET (4pm to 5pm WET), and from 11am to 12pm on CNBC World in the United States. The programme was presented from London by Louisa Bojesen. The show covered the last half-hour of trades in the European equity markets, and reported on the day's final numbers and top stories as the markets close at 5:30pm CET. As the major European markets are electronic, no actual "closing bell" was rung - nonetheless there was a countdown on the CNBC Europe strap and video wall until the close of trade.
