CMLL 65th Anniversary Show
The CMLL 65th Anniversary Show ( es, 65. Aniversario de CMLL) was a professional wrestling major show event produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 1998. Different sources identify different shows in September as the actual Anniversary Show, either on September 11 or September 18, or possibly both as CMLL has held multiple shows to commemorate their anniversary in the past. Both shows took place in Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. The September 11th show consisted of five matches in total, with one of the featured bouts being a Best two-out-of-three falls ''Lucha de Apuesta'' mask vs. mask match between Último Guerrero and Mr. Águila, the first ''Luchas de Apuestas'' match of Último Guerrero's career. El Oriental
Noé Astro Moreno León (born December 6, 1972) is a Mexican ''Luchador'' known under the ring name El Oriental, currently works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) but is mainly known for his almost 10-year-long stint in Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) along with his sisters Cynthia, Rossy and Esther Moreno. He is the son of wrestler and promoter Alfonso "Acorazado" Moreno and has worked over 70 tours of Japan. Jesús Reyes González (born 10 March 1958) is a Mexican ''Luchador'', or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Máscara Año 2000 or Máscara Año Dos Mil. His ring name is Spanish for "Mask of the year 2000", originally referring to the mask Reyes wore while wrestling. Reyes was forced to unmask when he lost a '' Lucha de Apuesta'' (bet match) to Perro Aguayo in 1993. The EMLL 1st Anniversary Show ( es, 1. Aniversario de EMLL) was a professional wrestling major show event produced by Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL, later renamed Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, CMLL) that took place on September 21, 1934, in Arena Modelo (In the same location Arena México was built years later), in Mexico City, Mexico. The event commemorated the first anniversary of EMLL, which became the oldest still active professional wrestling promotion in the world by the 1990s. Salvador Lutteroth González (21 March 1897 – 5 September 1987) was a Mexican professional wrestling promoter of the mid-twentieth century. Tag team wrestling is a type of professional wrestling in which matches are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. Tag teams may be made up of wrestlers who normally wrestle in singles competition, but more commonly are made of established teams who wrestle regularly as a unit and have a team name and identity. José Luis Amezcua Muñoz (born September 28, 1968) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler, trainer and promoter, best known by his ring name Apolo Dantés. He is the son of Alfonso Dantés, a successful and respected ''luchador'' during the 1960s and 1970s. Lucha Libre
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere.
