CLG na Cealla Beaga is a GAA club based in Killybegs, County Donegal, Ireland. They have won the Donegal Senior Football Championship on six occasions, most recently in 1996. They have an intense rivalry with Cill Chartha. History Founded in 1924, the club have had teams break up several times in their history. They play football only, though — in the past — played hurling too. From 1967, the team played at the coastal venue Fintra Park, subsequently renamed McDevitt Park; that year Donegal and Mayo played a game to mark its opening. They contested the Donegal SFC decider seven times between 1988 and 1996, winning five of them. The first of the five was the defeat of local rivals Cill Chartha in the 1988 decider. 1987 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship
The 1987 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship was the 24th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. Cork entered the championship as defending champions; however, they were defeated by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. On 28 June 1987, Donegal won the championship following a 1–12 to 2–4 defeat of Kerry in an All-Ireland final replay. Peter McGinley
Peter McGinley (born 1973/74) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player for the Donegal county team. P. J. McGowan was the manager to introduce McGinley to the Donegal senior team. McGinley emerged as a player at the age of 17 when he played for his club in their three matches as they advanced to the 1991 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship final; he had not played during the 1991 Donegal Senior Football Championship which his club had won to qualify for the Ulster Club SFC. McGinley managed his club to the final of the 2010 Donegal Senior Football Championship but Naomh Conaill defeated them, following a series of injuries in advance that made competing in that game all the more difficult. Joe Brolly
Joe Brolly (born 25 June 1969 Dungiven, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland) is a Gaelic football analyst, former player and barrister who played at senior level for the Derry county team. Brolly played for Derry in the 1990s and early 2000s and was part of the county's only All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winning side in 1993. He also won two Ulster Senior Football Championships and four National League titles. Brolly played club football for St Canice's Dungiven for most of his career, before transferring to St Brigid's GAC in Belfast. He usually played as right corner forward and was renowned for his accurate point-taking, goal-scoring ability, pace and ability to take on opponents. He was also known for his goal celebration of blowing kisses to the crowd, and had his nose broken twice during his career immediately after scoring goals. The Ulster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition played between the top clubs in Ulster GAA. The trophy awarded to the winners is the Seamus McFerran Cup ( ga, Corn Shéamuis Mhic Fearáin).
