Consolidated Land and Rail Australia (trading as CLARA) is a property development consortium proposing a high speed rail network for the Australian east coast that would funded by the development of new smart cities along the route. The company began operations in 2015, and in 2018 was one of three proposals invited to develop a detailed business case with federal government funding. The proposal attracted significant media attention for what was perceived as a radically different approach from previous attempts at introducing high-speed rail in Australia. Shandy is beer or cider mixed with a lemon or a lemon-lime flavored beverage. The citrus beverage, often called lemonade, may or may not be carbonated. The proportions of the two ingredients are adjusted to taste but are usually half lemonade and half beer/cider, resulting in a lower ABV for the finished drink. Clara railway station serves the town of Clara in County Offaly. The station lies on the Dublin to Galway and Dublin to Westport or Ballina line. History The station opened on 3 October 1859. Clara was once a railway junction, with a branch to Streamstown on the now disused Athlone–Mullingar link. ''Clara'' is an opera in two acts and 18 tableaux by Hans Gefors based on a French-language libretto by Jean-Claude Carrière. The opera premiered at the Opéra-Comique at the Salle Favart in Paris on 7 December 1998. This was Gefors fifth opera; he had previously composed full-length stage works for the Swedish Royal Opera (''Christina'', 1986) and for Wiesbaden Opera (''Der Park'', 1992). Background The work was commissioned from Gefors in 1995 and the composer and librettist met in Paris that year. Having received the first drafts of the text the following year, Gefors began composition in April 1997. Agavoideae is a subfamily of monocot flowering plants in the family Asparagaceae, order Asparagales. It has previously been treated as a separate family, Agavaceae. The group includes many well-known desert and dry-zone types, such as the agaves and yuccas (including the Joshua tree).
