CHRC was a French language Canadian radio station located in Quebec City, Quebec. Known as Québec 800, the station had a news/ talk/ sports format. Founded in 1926, it was the oldest station in Quebec City at the time of its shutdown. Owned and operated by the Quebec Remparts QMJHL franchise, it broadcast on 800 kHz with a power of 50,000 watts as a class B station from a site near the Chaudière River near Saint-Étienne-de-Lauzon in Lévis, using a very directional antenna (six towers) with the same directional pattern day and night to protect various other stations on the same frequency, including CJAD in Montreal (which is approximately away). CFOM-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Quebec City, Quebec, licensed to Lévis. The station has a hot adult contemporary format since August 2014. Owned and operated by Cogeco, it broadcasts on 102.9 MHz using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 16,800 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 32,800 watts ( class C1). Mount Bélair
Mount Bélair is a peak in the Laurentian Mountains, Quebec, Canada, with an altitude of . It is located in the Val-Bélair section of Quebec City, approximately west of downtown. Activities Mount Bélair is a popular site for outdoor activities. Year round, the summit offers a panoramic view from which one can see downtown Québec, and portions of the trail employ raised wooden walkways. In the autumn, it is decorated with the ornate colors of the boreal forest. In winter, available activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and walking. Quebec Remparts
There have been two junior ice hockey franchises known as the Quebec Remparts (french: Remparts de Québec) that played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The first edition played from 1969 to 1985; the current franchise has played since 1997. Both franchises were based out of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The current team plays at Videotron Centre. The team is named after the Ramparts of Quebec City. Original Remparts The original Quebec Remparts team was founded in 1969 by a group of investors who purchased the assets of the junior Quebec Aces team.
