CIRR-FM
CIRR-FM (103.9 MHz, ''103.9 Proud FM'') is a radio station in Toronto, Ontario. Owned by Evanov Communications, it broadcasts a Hot AC/ CHR/EDM format with a focus on the area's LGBT community. Launching on April 16, 2007, it was the first radio station in Canada targeted specifically to an LGBT audience, and the first commercial, terrestrial radio station in the world to target such an audience. It is one of six stations in Toronto that reports to Nielsen BDS' Canadian Top 40 airplay panel. Originally broadcasting from Toronto's Church and Wellesley neighbourhood, CIRR's studios are currently located on Dundas Street West in the Eatonville neighbourhood of Toronto, while its transmitter is located atop the Sheraton Centre on Queen Street West in downtown Toronto across from Toronto City Hall. CIDC-FM (103.5 FM, ''Z103.5'') is a radio station licensed to Orangeville, Ontario. Owned by Evanov Communications, the station broadcasts a rhythmic contemporary format targeting the Greater Toronto Area. Its studios are located on Dundas Street West in the Eatonville neighbourhood in the Etobicoke district of Toronto. CIDC has historically been known for having a dance and electronic-leaning playlist. CIDC held a 2.0 share of the market in Numeris's Spring 2018 ratings. Due to its signal location near Orangeville, the station rimshots Barrie, Kitchener, and Downtown Toronto. Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel
The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel is a 1300-room, 43-story hotel in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, opened in 1972. It is the second-tallest all-hotel building in Toronto, after the Delta Toronto Hotel. History The hotel opened on October 16, 1972 as the Four Seasons Sheraton Hotel, a joint venture between Sheraton and Toronto businessman Issy Sharp's Four Seasons chain. At the time, it was the second-largest hotel in Toronto, behind only the Royal York Hotel. Sharp was unhappy with the partnership, and sold his 49 percent share in the hotel in 1976 for $18.5 million, and it was renamed The Sheraton Centre of Toronto. The name has since been modified slightly to the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. CHLO (530 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Brampton, Ontario, serving Greater Toronto. It is owned by Evanov Communications and broadcasts a multilingual format. Most programming is Punjabi with other languages of South Asia. Some Italian, German, Croatian, Tagalog, Bulgarian, and Spanish language shows are heard on weekends. CHLO's radio studios and offices are on Dundas Street West in the Eatonville neighbourhood of Toronto. By day, CHLO transmits with 1,000 watts non-directional; due to restrictions placed on the frequency by international treaty, it reduces power at night to 250 watts. Dundas Street is a major historic arterial road in Ontario, Canada. The road connects the city of Toronto with its western suburbs and several cities in southwestern Ontario. Three provincial highways— 2, 5, and 99—followed long sections of its course, although these highway segments have since been downloaded to the municipalities they passed through. Eatonville is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located west of the central core, in the former suburb of Etobicoke. Eatonville is bisected by Highway 427, with the community generally located north of Dundas Street West and south of Rathburn Road.
