CIBX-FM (106.9 MHz) is a commercial radio station in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, owned by Bell Media and known as ''Move 106.9''. It broadcasts an adult contemporary format. The studios and offices are on Rookwood Avenue in Fredericton, shared with sister stations CFXY-FM and CKHJ. CIBX-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 78,000 watts, horizontal polarization only. Move Radio
Move Radio is a brand of adult contemporary radio stations heard across Canada. The network was launched on December 27, 2020, by Bell Media. The launch of the network involved a re-branding of eleven radio stations across Canada, five in Ontario, four in British Columbia, one in Nova Scotia and one in New Brunswick. The launch of this network also involved the flipping of CJMG-FM's Top 40/CHR format to AC, as well the CHR format of CIBX-FM to hot AC. All stations adopted the slogan ''Today's Best Variety'', which is similar to other stations that use AC and hot AC formats, and have since then dropped their former brandings, including two stations with the "EZ Rock" brand. CFXY-FM is a Canadian radio station in Fredericton, New Brunswick, that broadcasts at 105.3 Hertz, MHz. The station uses the on-air brand ''Bounce 105.3'' with an adult hits format. The station is owned by Bell Media, which also owns sister stations CIBX-FM and CKHJ. The station's transmitter is off Route 620 at Hamtown Corner in Douglas, New Brunswick, Douglas, north west of Fredericton. CKHJ is a radio station in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, broadcasting at 1260 AM. The station broadcasts a country format under the '' Pure Country'' branding. The station is owned by Bell Media which also owns sister stations CFXY-FM and CIBX-FM. There are two rebroadcasters of CKHJ on FM due to the AM station's weak signal to the south and east of the city: CKHJ-1-FM on 95.1 in New Maryland, and CKHJ-2-FM in 103.5 in Oromocto. Effective radiated power (ERP), synonymous with equivalent radiated power, is an IEEE standardized definition of directional radio frequency (RF) power, such as that emitted by a radio transmitter. It is the total power in watts that would have to be radiated by a half-wave dipole antenna to give the same radiation intensity (signal strength or power flux density in watts per square meter) as the actual source antenna at a distant receiver located in the direction of the antenna's strongest beam (main lobe). In broadcasting and radio communications, a call sign (also known as a call name or call letters—and historically as a call signal—or abbreviated as a call) is a unique identifier for a transmitter station. A call sign can be formally assigned by a government agency, informally adopted by individuals or organizations, or even cryptographically encoded to disguise a station's identity. The use of call signs as unique identifiers dates to the landline railroad telegraph system. Because there was only one telegraph line linking all railroad stations, there needed to be a way to address each one when sending a telegram.
