CIBL-FM (101.5 MHz) is a French-language community radio station located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It broadcasts using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 872 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 2,800 watts as a Class A station. History CIBL-FM opened on April 26, 1980. It originally operated on 104.5 MHz with 16 watts from the top of one of the pyramids of Montreal's Olympic Village. Its target audience at that time was the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district. Its antenna and transmitter are now located on Olympic Stadium, and its signal covers the whole city since a power increase in 1991. It is also known as a launch pad for several artists and radio personalities such as the late French language humor group Rock et Belles Oreilles and Télé-Québec's Marie-France Bazzo. Line Beauchamp (born February 24, 1963) is a Canadian politician. She served as the Liberal Member of the National Assembly (MNA) for the Sauvé riding, and for Bourassa-Sauvé at the Quebec National Assembly from November 30, 1998 to May 14, 2012. She also served as Minister of Culture and Communications from April 29, 2003 to April 18, 2007, Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks from April 18, 2007 to August 12, 2012, and served as Minister of Education, Recreation, and Sports from August 11, 2010, and as Deputy Premier of Quebec from September 7, 2011, until she resigned on May 14, 2012 as a result of the 2012 Quebec student strike. Marie-France Bazzo (born July 8, 1961) is a Canadians, Canadian broadcaster, who has hosted television programming for Télé-Québec and radio programming for the Ici Radio-Canada Première network. Sainte-Catherine Street (french: rue Sainte-Catherine) () is the primary commercial artery of Downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
