CFZM is a Class A clear-channel radio station, licensed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, broadcasting on the assigned frequency of 740 kHz, and with a low power repeater in downtown Toronto at 96.7 FM. CJMR
CJMR is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts multicultural programming at AM 1320. Although officially licensed to Mississauga, Ontario, it currently broadcasts from studios in Oakville. CJMR's studios are located on Church Street in downtown Oakville, while its transmitters are located along Dundas Street West near Third Line Road on the northwest side of Oakville. Originally a daytimer on AM 1190, CJMR was launched in 1974 by the owners of CHWO. In 1990, the station moved to its current frequency and began a 24-hour broadcast schedule. Moses Znaimer (; born 1942) is a Tajik-born Canadian media executive of jewish descent. He is the co-founder and former head of Citytv, the first independent television station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the current head of ZoomerMedia. Early life and education Znaimer was born to Jewish parents (Aron Znaimer and Chaya Znaimer née Epelsweig) from Latvia and Poland, who had fled the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union and relocated to Kulob in the Soviet republic of Tajikistan. The station is owned by ZoomerMedia, through licensee MZ Media Inc. It is largely a semi-satellite of ZoomerMedia's CFMZ-FM 96.3 in Toronto. History On February 29, 2012, ZoomerMedia received a license from the CRTC. In that same decision, a competing application by Evanov Communications for a soft adult contemporary station on 102.9 was denied. The station was originally to operate at 104.9 MHz; however, Bayshore Broadcasting was approved to use the 104.9 frequency in Shelburne, forcing CFMO-FM to find an alternate frequency. Western New York (WNY) is the westernmost region of the U.S. state of New York. Electromagnetic interference (EMI), also called radio-frequency interference (RFI) when in the radio frequency spectrum, is a disturbance generated by an external source that affects an electrical circuit by electromagnetic induction, electrostatic coupling, or conduction.
