The Conseil Européen des Jeunes Agriculteurs (CEJA) ("European Council of Young Farmers") is an umbrella organisation gathering young farmers from all over Europe and is one of the key advocates for the agricultural sector in Europe. This non-profit organisation currently has 33 member organisations from 22 EU member states and two observer members from non-EU countries, representing around two million young farmers. Its office is located in Brussels. History CEJA was founded in Rome, Italy in 1958. Through a series of bilateral contacts, organisations representing young farmers from the six initial members of the EEC set up a European organisation of young farmers in order to concentrate their action at the European level and to concretely participate in the realisation of European integration. Ceja Canchal
The Canchal de la Ceja is a 2,428 metres high mountain in Spain. Etymology ''Canchal'' means ''scree''; the name ''Ceja'' (literally ''eyebrow'') comes from the peculiar shape of the snowfield located below the summit on the North face of the mountain . Geography The mountain is located on the border between the provinces of Ávila and Salamanca, both belonging to Castile and León autonomous community. It's the highest peak of the mountain range called '' Sierra de Béjar'' and of Province of Salamanca. The lakes located around the mountain are the largest in the Sierra de Gredos area. Access to the summit The shortest route to the summit starts from ''Plataforma del Travieso'' (1850 m, around 10 km from Candelario) and takes a couple of hours hiking. Ceja Vineyards is a family-owned winery in Napa founded by Mexican-American immigrants. The Ceja family have been growers in the Napa and Sonoma valleys in California for three generations. The wine production company was founded in 1999 and focuses on premium wines. The principals are; Amelia Moran Ceja, President; Martha Ceja, Vice President; Pedro Ceja, Secretary; and Armando Ceja, Treasurer. As of 2008 production is around 10,000 cases per year. Family history Amelia Morán Ceja was born in Las Flores, Jalisco, an agricultural village in Mexico. At 12, she moved with her family to the Napa Valley AVA in California.
