Cornelis (Cees) van der Knaap (born 27 January 1951, in Bennekom) is a Dutch politician. He was State Secretary for Defence for the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). Biography After attending a MULO school, Van der Knaap worked for Vroom & Dreesmann. Between 1970 and 1975 he served as an enlisted soldier in the Royal Netherlands Army. After that he worked for the customs service. Since 1978 he has worked for the National Federation of Christian Trade Unions in the Netherlands, first as district board member, later as a member of the national board of the transport union. In 1992 he became a member of the national board of the federal trade union, first as coordinator working conditions, later as general secretary. In 1998 Van der Knaap became a member of the House of Representatives for the Christian Democratic Appeal. Cees Juffermans (born 10 February 1982) is a former Dutch Short track speed skater. Currently he is a marathon speed skater. Juffermans is one of the most renowned short track speed skaters the Netherlands has ever produced. At the 2001 European Championships, he won the silver medal and competed in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City where he was eliminated in the series at the 500 and 1000 metres. At the 1500 metres, he would reach the semi finals and would eventually finish in 8th place. His road to the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin was not the easiest. Cees Helder (born 1948 in , North Holland) is a Dutch chef, former restaurant owner of Parkheuvel in Rotterdam. He was the first chief cook in the Netherlands to acquire three Michelin stars. Helder obtained his first Michelin star when he was chief cook at Villa Rozenrust. A second star followed with Le Chevalier in Delft. In 1986, Helder purchased Parkheuvel and in November 2001 it became the first Dutch restaurant to hold three Michelin stars. Cees Jan Hamelink (born 14 September 1940) is a Dutch academic known for his work on communication, culture, and technology. He is emeritus professor of international communications and emeritus professor of media at the University of Amsterdam; professor in management information and knowledge at the University of Aruba; and professor of media, religion and culture at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
