Club Deportivo Nuestra Señora de Belén, also known as BigMat Fontecha for sponsorship reasons, is a Spanish women's football club from Burgos. History Originally established in 1990 as Rayo Burgalés in 1990, it took its current name in 1997. It was one of the eleven founding members of the Superliga Femenina in 2001, taking part in three seasons before being relegated in 2005. Since then it was always played in the second tier, except on the 2013–14, when the club claimed the Regional League title. On 4 June 2019, Nuestra Señora de Belén agreed an affiliation agreement with men's club Burgos CF Burgos Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. is a Spanish football team based in Burgos, in the autonomous community of Castile and León. 2002–03 Superliga Femenina
The 2002–03 Superliga season was the 15th edition since the competition's establishment and the second one since its unification. It was contested by twelve teams, and it ran from 6 October 2002 to 27 April 2003. Debuting team Athletic Bilbao won its first championship, while defending champion Levante UD was the runner-up tied at points with ''the lionesses'', and CF Puebla and CE Sabadell were 3rd and 4th respectively. CFF Estudiantes, AD Torrejón, RCD Espanyol and CF Oviedo Moderno also qualified for the 2003 Copa de la Reina. Like in the previous season, there were no relegations. 2019–20 Segunda División (women)
The 2019–20 Segunda División season, also known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons, was the 89th since its establishment. On 12 March 2020 after most of teams had played 31 games, the league was suspended for at least two weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. The league was suspended indefinitely on 23 March. The season recommenced on 10 June and was initially planned to be completed on 20 July. On 20 July 2020, the final day of the regular season, Deportivo de La Coruña's match against Fuenlabrada was suspended indefinitely due to several Fuenlabrada players testing positive for COVID-19, therefore, delaying the official end of the season, whilst relegating Deportivo without even playing their match. The match was finally played on 7 August, resulting in a 2–1 win for Deportivo. The 2018–19 Segunda División Femenina de Fútbol was the 18th edition of the Spanish women's football second-tier league. Competition format The Segunda División was divided into seven inter-regional groups. Each group played their season as home and away round-robin format. The seven group champions (for group 6, the winner of the Canarian final) and the best runner-up qualified for the promotion playoffs. In the promotion playoffs, the eight teams were divided by draw into two groups of four teams that played a double-leg knockout format. The two winners promoted to the Primera División.
