Released through Victor Entertainment on August 24, 1988, the album features the hit singles " Stranger Tonight", "Stardust Dream" and " Dear (Cobalt no Kanata e)", the first two having hit No. 1. It was reissued on April 21, 2010, with five bonus tracks as part of Oginome's 25th anniversary celebration. Yōko Oginome
, real name , is a former pop idol, actress and voice actress, who gained popularity in the mid-1980s. Her fans often call her Oginome-chan. She is represented by the talent management firm Rising Production. Career Oginome spent most of her elementary and junior high years living in the town of Ranzan in Saitama Prefecture, though she attended school in the city of Sakura. She graduated from Horikoshi High School in Nakano, Tokyo. While in elementary school, Oginome won a contest and was selected to be part of a three-member group called under the CBS/Sony label. She took the nickname and partnered with and . The group only released two singles and broke up a little over a year after forming. is the eighth studio album by Japanese singer Yōko Oginome. Released through Victor Entertainment on December 17, 1988, it was Oginome's first English-language album. The album was produced by Narada Michael Walden, who co-wrote the songs with Walter Afanasieff, Jeffrey Cohen, Joyce Imbesi, and Preston Glass. No singles from the album were released, but " Passages of Time" was re-recorded as a single in 1993. ''Verge of Love'' was reissued on April 21, 2010, with two bonus tracks as part of Oginome's 25th anniversary celebration. Stranger Tonight
is the 14th single by Japanese singer Yōko Oginome. Written by Masao Urino and Nobody, the single was released on January 21, 1988, by Victor Entertainment. Background and release The song was used as the theme song of the TV Asahi drama special , which also starred Oginome. The music video features Oginome performing the song with a group of American dancers at a dance hall. The B-side is a cover of The Hollies' hit single "Bus Stop". "Stranger Tonight" became Oginome's second No. 1 single on Oricon's singles chart. It also sold over 143,000 copies. Graham Keith Gouldman (born 10 May 1946) is an English singer, songwriter, and musician, best known as the co-lead singer and bassist of the art rock band 10cc. He has been the band's only constant member since its formation in 1972. Before 10cc, Gouldman worked as a freelance songwriter and penned several hits for major rock and pop groups such as the Yardbirds, the Hollies, Herman's Hermits, and Ohio Express, among others. , better known by his stage name , is a Japanese lyricist, composer and poet who is affiliated with Amuse, Inc.
