Club Bàsquet Vic is a Spanish basketball club based in Vic, Catalonia. History The team arrived to the Spanish second league, the LEB Oro in the 2008–09 season, but renounced to play after selling the berth to CB Sant Josep. CB Vic played the next season in Liga EBA, division where they played during two seasons reaching the promotion playoffs to LEB Plata. On 2011–12 season, the club renounces to its spot at Liga EBA and decided to play in one level lower: Copa Catalunya. Liga EBA
Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado (EBA), commonly known as Liga EBA, is a Spanish basketball championship that is the fourth tier level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the Liga ACB, LEB Oro, and LEB Plata. It is administered by the FEB. It was previously the Spanish second tier level competition from 1994 to 1996, the third tier level from 1996 to 2000, and the fifth tier level, from 2007 to 2009. The Liga EBA is made up of five inter-regional groups. After the regular season, sixteen teams advance to the playoffs, where only four teams are promoted to the LEB Plata. The lowest ranked teams of each group, are relegated to the Primera División. 2018–19 LEB Plata Season
The 2018–19 LEB Plata season was the 19th season of the Spanish basketball third league. It started on 6 October 2018 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 25 May 2019 with the promotion playoffs. Format changes On 2 June 2018, the General Assembly of the Spanish Basketball Federation agreed some changes in the competition format: *The competition will be expanded to 24 teams, divided into two groups of twelve by economical and geographical criteria. The top six teams of each group will join the group A1 for the promotion and the bottom six, the group A2 for avoiding relegation. *Three teams will be promoted to LEB Oro (the winner of the group A1 and the two playoffs winners) and six relegated to Liga EBA. *Four teams will join the playoffs for two more spots, decided by two-legged series. Rafael Estevão "Rafa" Hettsheimeir (born June 16, 1986) is a Brazilian-Spanish professional basketball player who plays for Bauru of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) and the BCL Americas. Guillermo "Guille" Rubio Vergara (alternate spelling: Guillem) (born October 14, 1982 in Barcelona, Spain) is a Spanish professional basketball player for Covirán Granada of the LEB Oro.
