CB Tormes
Club Baloncesto Tormes is a Spanish professional basketball club based in Salamanca, Castile and León that currently plays in Liga EBA, the fourth tier of Spanish basketball. History CB Tormes was founded in March 2000, after splitting from UD Santa Marta, that created the basketball section in 1998. In their first half season as independent team, the club promoted to Liga EBA, where it played two seasons before resigning to the place in the league. In the second one, CB Tormes reached the last stage of the promotion playoffs to LEB Plata, but could not achieve the promotion after losing by 30 against CB Aracena. During all its existence, the club was alternating Liga EBA and Primera División, always resigning to the first one by financial inability. In the 2014–15 season, CB Tormes played a new promotion playoffs, but could not win the stage. Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado (EBA), commonly known as Liga EBA, is a Spanish basketball championship that is the fourth tier level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the Liga ACB The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. The Primera División de Baloncesto is the fifth level in the Spanish basketball league system. Current format The Primera División works similar to the Tercera División of Spanish football. 2018–19 LEB Plata Season
The 2018–19 LEB Plata season was the 19th season of the Spanish basketball third league. It started on 6 October 2018 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 25 May 2019 with the promotion playoffs. Format changes On 2 June 2018, the General Assembly of the Spanish Basketball Federation agreed some changes in the competition format: *The competition will be expanded to 24 teams, divided into two groups of twelve by economical and geographical criteria. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada, S.A.D., known as just Fuenlabrada and also Carplus Fuenlabrada because of sponsorship reasons,, is a professional basketball team based in Fuenlabrada, Spain.
