''CBC Radio 3 Sessions, Volume III'' is a compilation album released 9 October 2007 on MapleMusic. The album compiles tracks from various live sessions recorded between 2004 and 2006 for CBC Radio 3. Most of the sessions were recorded in Studio 2 of the CBC Regional Broadcast Centre Vancouver, though two were recorded at Studio 211 of the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in Toronto. Chad VanGaalen (born 1977) is a Canadian musician and artist from Calgary, Alberta. Career ''Infiniheart'' Following a few scattered independent releases, done mostly on homemade CDs with hand-drawn art, VanGaalen released ''Infiniheart'' (2004) on Canadian independent label Flemish Eye. ''Infiniheart'', a collection of songs selected from recordings made in his bedroom/makeshift studio, was picked up in 2005 by indie label Sub Pop. In late 2005, the album was re-released with a bonus six-song EP entitled ''Green Beans''. Cuff The Duke
Cuff the Duke is a Canadian alt-country band from Oshawa, Ontario. They play a blend of traditional country and folk music with indie rock influences. History Cuff the Duke formed in Oshawa, drawing their name from a shirt purchased by front-man Wayne Petti at a secondhand shop. Starting as a duo consisting of Petti and Jeff Peers, the band later expanded to include bass player Paul Lowman and drummer Brad Fudge. In 2002 they released their first album, '' Life Stories for Minimum Wage'' on Three Gut Records. They spent the next few years touring with Hayden, acting as his backing band. Tokyo Police Club is an indie rock band from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 2005, it consists of vocalist and bassist Dave Monks, keyboardist Graham Wright, guitarist Josh Hook, and drummer Greg Alsop. The band found early success with their 2006 debut EP '' A Lesson in Crime,'' which they followed with several popular releases including the albums ''Elephant Shell'' and '' Champ'' in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Malajube
Malajube is a Canadian francophone indie rock band formed in Montreal, Quebec. History Formed by a group of friends in Sorel-Tracy, Québec, the band made itself known in 2004 with the release of its first album, ''Le Compte complet''. Critics welcomed the disc with positive reviews, which allowed the group to become instantly famous in the Quebec music scene. Pink Mountaintops is a Canadian rock and roll band from Vancouver led by Stephen McBean. The band's first album, ''The Pink Mountaintops'', featured Amber Webber and Joshua Wells. Destroyer is a Canadian indie rock band from Vancouver, formed in 1995. The band is fronted by founding member Dan Bejar, with a collective of regular band members and collaborators joining him in the studio and during live performances.
