CA Osasuna Femenino
Club Atlético Osasuna Femenino is a Spanish women's football team from Pamplona, Navarre, currently playing in the Primera Federación. It is the women's section of CA Osasuna. History From 2003, Osasuna's women's team played in Groups 1 and 2 of the Segunda División for seven seasons, usually finishing mid-table. Marta Unzué, who would later win several titles with FC Barcelona Femení, began her career at the club. In the early 2010s, some controversies arose over the organization's management of the team: in March 2011, eleven players left the team accusing the executives of sexism, lack of interest and poor training conditions, and in May of the following year, outgoing chairman Patxi Izco declared women's football as "unsightly" and "unsuitable for women". Tajonar Facilities
The Tajonar Facilities ( es, Instalaciones de Tajonar), is the training ground of the Spanish football club CA Osasuna. Located at the southern outskirts of Pamplona, the centre was opened in July 1982 by then-club president Fermín Ezcurra. The club's women's teams and youth sides also play at the facility. Since its opening in 1982, the Tajonar Soccer School has been preparing young football players here. In 1987–88, the centre was enlarged to cover an area of . In 2001, the centre was renovated and further expanded with the construction of three additional training pitches. In the following years, another of land were acquired and, after several sales operations, the club kept the current of the Tajonar Facilities. COVID-19 Pandemic In Spain
The COVID-19 pandemic in Spain has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The virus was first confirmed to have spread to Spain on 31 January 2020, when a German tourist tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in La Gomera, Canary Islands. The 2020–21 Segunda División Pro, named Reto Iberdrola for sponsorship reasons, was the 20th season of the second highest league tier of women's football in Spain, and the second season under a new two-group format. The system was adapted for this year only to two phases (initially split into four small groups on a geographical basis, then into four groups again to decide promotion and relegation) due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain and its related restrictions, which included all matches being played in empty stadiums, and the involvement of two more teams than the usual 32 after relegation was disregarded in the previous edition, while teams still came up from the third tier. Euskaltel, S.A. is a Spanish telecommunications company based in Derio, Basque Country. It was formed in 1995 in a joint effort by the Basque Government and several Basque saving banks. Its name is literally translated in English as "Basque-Tel". SD Eibar Femenino is a Spanish women's football team from Eibar, Gipuzkoa, Basque Country, currently playing in the Primera Federación. It is the women's section of SD Eibar. Below the first team, the club also incorporates a senior B-team playing at the provincial fourth level, plus three youth teams. History Eibar women's team was founded in 1991 as Eibartarrak Futbol Taldea. 2016–17 Segunda División (women)
The 2016–17 Segunda División Femenina de Fútbol was the 2016–17 edition of the Spanish women's football second-tier league. Competition format The Segunda División was divided into seven regional groups. Each group played their season as home and away round-robin format. At the end of the season, the lowest three teams from each regional group (except Group 6) were relegated to regional leagues. The seven group champions (for group 6, the winner of the Canarian final) qualified for the promotion playoffs. In the promotion playoffs, the seven teams were be divided by draw into two groups: one of four teams and other one of three.
