CAMS Rising Stars
CAMS Rising Stars is a motor racing team identity in which the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport assists the development of emerging young racing drivers. The team competes in the Australian Formula Ford Championship. Confederation Of Australian Motor Sport
Motorsport Australia, formerly the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS), is the nationally recognised governing and sanctioning body for four-wheeled motorsport in Australia. It is affiliated with the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Responsibilities Motorsport Australia has been the custodian of motor sport in Australia since 1953. It is the National Sporting Authority (ASN) for motorsport in Australia, recognised by Sport Australia, and is delegated this responsibility by the FIA. Motorsport Australia affiliated with the FIA in its own right in 1958 before being granted full membership in October of that year on a probationary basis. Australian Formula Ford Championship
The Australian Formula Ford Championship is an Australian motor racing competition for drivers of Formula Ford racing cars, held annually since 1970. From 1970 until 1992 it was a national series and from 1993 until 2013 the series was sanctioned by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport as the Australian Formula Ford Championship. From 2014 to 2018 it reverted to national series status. The Australian Formula Ford Championship name was then applied to the series by the Formula Ford Association from 2019. Borland Racing Developments
Borland Racing Developments is an Australian championship winning manufacturer of open-wheel racing cars, principally in the junior categories of Formula Ford and Formula Vee. Borland Racing Developments was formed in 1984 to prepare and engineer cars for the Australian Formula 2 Championship. Four championships were secured in the next five years, after which Michael Borland turned his attention to producing the Spectrum Formula Ford and Sabre Formula Vee racing cars. Past drivers who have partnered with BRD include Craig Lowndes, Jason Bright, Jason Bargwanna, Steven Richards, Mark Winterbottom, Shane Price and John Martin. The Spectrum chassis established itself in the local Formula Ford market, taking a second for Jason Bargwanna in the 1996 title race.
