Kohan Retail Investment Group is a shopping mall investment company based in Great Neck, New York. They “specialize” in malls and retail spaces as well as hotels. History Kohan bought Northland Mall from Developers Diversified Realty for $1.8 million in late December 2008. Kohan purchased the Jamestown Mall in 2009 for $3.3 million. Staunton Mall was purchased from bankrupt First Republic Realty for $4.05 million in November 2010. In April 2011, Warren Mall was sold by Zamias for $720,000, and in April 2016 was under the ownership of Cocca Development. Chapel Hill Mall was a shopping mall located at 2000 Brittain Road in Akron, Ohio, United States. Built by Richard (R.B.) Buchholzer and Forest City Enterprises, it opened on October 12, 1967. They continued to own the mall until 2004, when it was sold to the Chattanooga, Tennessee company CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., who owned it until 2014. At its peak the mall featured more than 100 stores, with Sears, J. C. Penney, and Macy's as anchor tenants. History Chapel Hill Mall sits on land once owned by Richard Buchholzer's father, J.J. Virginia Center Commons (VCC) was an enclosed shopping mall located in Glen Allen, Virginia, near the state capital of Richmond. Built in 1991, Simon Property Group owned the mall until 2014 when it was split off to Washington Prime Group. In January 2017, the mall was sold again to Kohan Retail Investment Group. Towne West Square is an enclosed shopping mall located in Wichita, Kansas, United States. Opened on Friday, March 6, 1981, it comprises more than 50 stores in of gross leasable area. The mall's three anchor stores are Dick's Sporting Goods, Dillard's Clearance Center and JCPenney. Towne Square Mall is a defunct shopping mall located in Owensboro, Kentucky. History Towne Square Mall was built by David Hocker and Alan Squitieri for $20 million, with Squitieri later being bought out. It opened on March 1, 1978, and was one of the largest shopping centers in the area. JCPenney moved to the mall from downtown. Prescott Gateway Mall
Prescott Gateway Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Prescott, Arizona. Opened on March 8, 2002, it includes JCPenney, Dillard's, and Bed Bath & Beyond as its anchor stores. History Westcor first announced plans to build a mall east of Prescott on Arizona State Route 69 in 1998. The decision was met with local opposition from members of the community, and petitioned for a referendum after city council approved a change in zoning. Under Westcor's original plans, the proposed mall would have JCPenney, Sears and Dillard's as anchor stores. The former two stores were already anchors at an existing mall, Ponderosa Plaza, but the managers of both stores considered their existing locations too small.
