Wrestling competitions at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, were held on 5 and 6 August 2022. The sport was one of six original sports at the Games and was all editions except 1998 and 2006 (the third time within England specifically), spread across twelve weight categories in the freestyle discipline. Schedule The competition schedule was as follows: Venue The wrestling competitions were held at the Coventry Arena in Coventry. The judo competitions also took place there, whilst the adjacent Coventry Stadium was host to rugby sevens. The Coventry Building Society Arena (often shortened to the CBS Arena or just simply Coventry Arena, and formerly known as the Ricoh Arena) is a complex in Coventry, England. It includes a 32,609-seater stadium which is currently home to football team, Championship club Coventry City F.C. along with facilities which include a exhibition hall, a hotel and a casino. This was the fifth time the sport has been on the program, since it was introduced as a demonstration sport in 1986, and made official at the next edition in 1990.
