Women's Nordic Football Championship
Women's Nordic Football Championship was an international Association football, football competition contested by the women's national football teams of the Nordic countries. The tournament was held annually between 1974 and 1982. Finland women's national football team, Finland, Denmark women's national football team, Denmark and Sweden women's national football team, Sweden competed from the start, Norway women's national football team, Norway joined the tournament in 1978. Iceland women's national football team, Iceland and Faroe Islands women's national football team, Faroe Islands did not take part at the competition. Pia Sundhage
Pia Mariane Sundhage (, born 13 February 1960) is a Swedish football manager and former professional player. She is the head coach of the Brazil women's national team. As a player, Sundhage played most of her career as a forward and retired as the top scorer for the Sweden national team, but she also had stints playing as a midfielder and a sweeper. Sundhage was the head coach of the United States women's national team from 2008 to 2012 and led the team to two Olympic gold medals and a silver medal at the World Cup. Her success led to her winning the 2012 FIFA World Coach of the Year. Sundhage later became the head coach of her native Sweden women's national football team from 2012 to 2017, winning an Olympic silver medal in 2016. The FIFA Women's World Cup is an international association football competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association ( FIFA), the sport's international governing body. The competition has been held every four years and one year after the men's FIFA World Cup since 1991, when the inaugural tournament, then called the FIFA Women's World Championship, was held in China. The Nordic Football Championship ( da, Nordisk Mesterskab, no, Nordisk Mesterskap, sv, Nordiska Mästerskapet, fi, Pohjoismaiden-mestaruusturnaus, commonly abbreviated NM or PM) was an international football competition contested by the men's national football teams of the Nordic countries. In the first tournament played 1924-1928, only Denmark, Norway and Sweden competed, but Finland joined for the second tournament, and at the last tournament played in 2000-2001, Iceland and the Faroe Islands also competed. Ann Jansson (born 6 May 1957) is a Swedish people, Swedish former association footballer, who scored the Sweden women's national football team's first ever goal in 1974. In an 11-year national team career, she won 37 Cap (sports), caps for Sweden, scoring 12 goals. Club career Jansson scored 864 goals in 642 appearances for Hammarby Fotboll (women), Hammarby IF between 1972 and 1984. With the club she played in six finals between 1974 and 1984, but lost them all.
