WWE Rebellion
WWE Rebellion was an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event that was produced by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), an American professional wrestling promotion. Established in 1999, the events were held and broadcast exclusively in the United Kingdom. The first three events were held when the promotion was still called the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Rebellion was also shown on the Viewers Choice service in Canada, but was never televised in the United States. Rebellion had its own theme song titled "Rebellion". To coincide with the brand extension, the 2002 event was a SmackDown!-exclusive show, which was the promotion's very first SmackDown!-exclusive PPV. SmackDown (WWE Brand)
SmackDown is a brand of the American professional wrestling promotion WWE that was established on March 25, 2002. Brands are divisions of WWE's roster where wrestlers are assigned to perform on a weekly basis when a brand extension is in effect. Wrestlers assigned to SmackDown primarily appear on the brand's weekly television program, ''Friday Night SmackDown'', also referred to simply as ''SmackDown''. Extreme Championship Wrestling
HHG Corporation, doing business as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), was a professional wrestling promotion and media company that was based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The promotion was founded in 1992 by Tod Gordon as National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) affiliate Eastern Championship Wrestling. The following year, businessman and wrestling promoter Paul Heyman took over the creative end of the promotion from Eddie Gilbert and rechristened the promotion as Extreme Championship Wrestling. The Alliance, also known as Team WCW/ECW, was a professional wrestling stable in the World Wrestling Federation (WWE) that existed during the Invasion storyline from July to November 2001. The 2001 Survivor Series was the 15th annual Survivor Series professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) List of WWE pay-per-view events, event produced by the World Wrestling Entertainment, World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). The Invasion was a professional wrestling storyline in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now known as WWE) during the Attitude Era that ran from March–November 2001 and involved stables of wrestlers purporting to represent World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW)—which merged to form The Alliance—placed against a stable of wrestlers purporting to represent the WWF. It took place on November 3, 2001, at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England and was broadcast exclusively in the United Kingdom. It was the final Rebellion event promoted under the WWF name, as the promotion was renamed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in May 2002.
