Vision (Marvel Comics)
The Vision is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Roy Thomas and artist John Buscema, the character first appeared in ''Avengers (comic book), The Avengers'' #57 (published in August 1968). The Vision is loosely based on the Timely Comics Vision (Timely Comics), character of the same name who was an alien from another dimension. The character is an Android (robot), android (sometimes called a "synthezoid") built by the villainous robot Ultron created by Hank Pym. Originally intended to act as Ultron's "son" and destroy the Avengers (comics), Avengers, Vision instead turned on his creator and joined the Avengers to fight for the forces of good. Vision (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Vision is a fictional character portrayed by Paul Bettany in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media franchise, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Originally created Ultron to originally serve as his body, Vision is a vibranium-based male android (or "Synthezoid") sporting the Mind Stone, and uploaded with the core software of Tony Stark's artificial intelligence, J.A.R.V.I.S.. After defeating Ultron, Vision subsequently joins the Avengers and develops a romantic relationship with his team-member, Wanda Maximoff. Vision is later killed by Thanos after the latter removes the Mind Stone from Vision's head to complete the Infinity Gauntlet in order to initiate the Blip. EE TV (formerly BT Vision and then BT TV until 2023) is a subscription IPTV service offered by EE; a brand of British telecommunications company BT Group. It requires the signing up to and use of the EE Broadband internet and phone service, with connection via EE's official router, the EE Smart Hub. Visions (convention)
Visions was an annual science fiction convention held from 1990 to 1998 in Rosemont, Illinois on Thanksgiving weekend. The convention was held at the Hyatt, Hyatt Regency O'Hare except for the 1992 event which was held at the Ramada O'Hare. The convention was originally called Visions but was renamed HME Visions in 1998. It was also known as "A British TV Celebration" before its first event. The convention was founded by retired fireman, electrical contractor, and long-time Doctor Who fandom, Doctor Who fan Robert H. McLaughlin III of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He organized the 1990 ''Doctor Who'' convention to raise money for Lambs Farm. The convention was run by McLaughlin with a committee of about twenty plus fan volunteers (''gophers'') recruited at each event.Various program booklets.
