Vaasan Palloseura
Vaasan Palloseura (or VPS) is a Finnish football club, based in Vaasa. It currently plays in the first tier of Finnish football (''Veikkausliiga''). The club's current manager is Jussi Nuorela. The club plays its home matches at Hietalahti. VPS played twice in the UEFA Cup in 1998–99 and in 1999–00, but were knocked out in the 2nd Qualifying Round by Grazer AK of Austria and in the 1st Qualifying Round by St Johnstone of Scotland. In spring of 2015 it was announced that the construction of VPS's new stadium would start soon. The construction of the new stadium began in the summer of 2015 and was completed in August 2016. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium of Vaasan Palloseura. The stadium has a capacity of 6,009 spectators. The stadium was originally built in 1935. It was expanded to its current capacity in 2015–2016. The name sponsor of the stadium is the Finnish telecommunications company Elisa (company), Elisa. Hietalahti Stadium co-hosted the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in July 2018. Havnar Bóltfelag (HB, lit. 'Harbour football club') is a Faroese football club, and is one of the oldest in the Faroe Islands. The club was founded in 1904, and is based in the city of Tórshavn. Home matches are played in Gundadalur and they compete in the Faroe Islands Premier League. History HB Tórshavn was founded in October 1904. The 1998–99 UEFA Cup was won by Parma in the final against Marseille. It was their second title in the competition. Finnish League Cup
The Finnish League Cup was a knock-out association football, football competition contested annually during the pre-season in winter by teams from Veikkausliiga. The league cup was abolished after the 2016 tournament and replaced with the Finnish Cup group stage starting from the 2017 season. League cup will be played again in spring of 2022.
