Unfriended (film Series)
''Unfriended'' (originally titled ''Cybernatural'') is a 2014 American screenlife supernatural horror film directed by Levan Gabriadze and produced by Timur Bekmambetov. Set on a computer screen, it is produced in the Screenlife format. The film stars Shelley Hennig, Moses Storm, Renee Olstead, Will Peltz, Jacob Wysocki, and Courtney Halverson as six high school students in a Skype conversation which is haunted by a student, played by Heather Sossaman, who was bullied by them and committed suicide. The film is told almost entirely through a screencast of a MacBook. The film premiered at the Fantasia Festival on July 20, 2014, and was theatrically released by Universal Pictures in the United States on April 17, 2015. The film received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics and was a massive box-office success, grossing $62.9 million against a $1 million budget. Levan Gabriadze
Levan "Leo" Gabriadze ( ka, ლევან რევაზის ძე გაბრიაძე, ''Levan Revazis dze Gabriadze''; russian: Лева́н Рева́зович Габриа́дзе, ''Levan Revazovich Gabriadze''; born 16 November 1969) is a Georgian-Russian actor and film director. He is best known for directing the 2014 horror film ''Unfriended''. Biography Gabriadze was born in Tbilisi, then part of the Soviet Georgia. His father, Revaz Gabriadze, was an actor, writer and director. By age 12, Leo was already working in his father's productions. At age 17 he was invited to star in one of the main roles of the film ''Kin-dza-dza!''. He graduated from the workshop of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University, specialized in acting and set design. He served in the Soviet Army, Air Defense Forces with the rank of private, post of a fireman. Screencast
A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output, also known as a video screen capture or a screen recording, often containing audio narration. The term ''screencast'' compares with the related term ''screenshot''; whereas screenshot generates a single picture of a computer screen, a screencast is essentially a movie of the changes over time that a user sees on a computer screen, that can be enhanced with audio narration and captions. Etymology In 2004, columnist Jon Udell invited readers of his blog to propose names for the emerging genre. Udell selected the term "screencast", which was proposed by both Joseph McDonald and Deeje Cooley. The terms "screencast" and "screencam" are often used interchangeably, due to the market influence of ScreenCam as a screencasting product of the early 1990s.
