Turkish Women's Football Super League
The Turkish Women's Football Super League ( tr, Kadınlar Süper Ligi), formerly the First Women's Football League (also known as the ''Turkcell Women's Football Super League'' for sponsorship reasons), is the top level women's football league of Turkey. In the 2022–23 season, one group of 10 teams and one group of nine teams play a double round robin and finals to decide a champion club, which qualifies for a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League. On 8 March 2021, the International Women's Day, the Turkish Football Federation signed a sponsorship agreement with the Turkish mobile phone operator Turkcell. Accordingly, the First Women's Football League was named Turkcell Women's Super League ( tr, Turkcell Kadın Süper Ligi) beginning with the 2021–22 season. 1207 Antalya Spor, a.k.a. 1207 Antalyaspor, is a women's football team based in Antalya playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League. Current chairman of the club is Süleyman Türk. History The women's team was founded as Antalya Yeni Kapıspor in 2006, and started to play in the Women's League. From 2007 until 2012, the team was part of Antalyaspor while they played in the 2011–12 season under the name Medical Park Antalyaspor in line with their sponsor. After three seasons in Women's First League, the team was relegated to the Women's Second League for the 2012–13 season. As a result, Antalyaspor's club management decided to close the women's football branch. Kireçburnu Spor Women's Football ( tr, Kireçburnu Spor Kulübü Bayan Futbol Takımı) is a women's football team based in Kireçburnu, Sarıyer, Istanbul playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League. It was formed in 2010 as part of the 1951-established Football Club. Kireçburnu Spor is the only women's team among the 30 football clubs around in Sarıyer district. 2021–22 UEFA Women's Champions League
The 2021–22 UEFA Women's Champions League was the 21st edition of the European women's club football championship organised by UEFA, and the 13th edition since being rebranded as the UEFA Women's Champions League. It was the first edition to feature a 16-team group stage. The final was held at the Juventus Stadium in Turin, Italy. The winners of the 2021–22 UEFA Women's Champions League automatically qualified for the 2022–23 UEFA Women's Champions League group stage.
