Troy Trojans Men's Basketball
The Troy Trojans men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball of Troy University. The program is classified in NCAA Division I and the team competes in the Sun Belt Conference. The team currently plays their home games in Trojan Arena, which was built in 2012 and replaced the old arena known as Sartain Hall. History Troy's first season was in 1950 under then head coach Buddy Brooks. The Trojans appeared in the 2003 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament as a 14-seed after winning the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament and faced 3-seeded Xavier in the first round, losing 71–59. The Trojans were the champions of the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2003 and defeated Central Florida for the conference tournament championship in Atlanta, Georgia.
