Triple (category Theory)
In category theory, a branch of mathematics, a monad is a triple (T, \eta, \mu) consisting of a functor ''T'' from a category to itself and two natural transformations \eta, \mu that satisfy the conditions like associativity. For example, if F, G are functors adjoint to each other, then T = G \circ F together with \eta, \mu determined by the adjoint relation is a monad. In concise terms, a monad is a monoid in the category of endofunctors of some fixed category (an endofunctor is a functor mapping a category to itself). According to John Baez, a monad can be considered at least in two ways: https://golem.ph.utexas.edu/category/2009/07/the_monads_hurt_my_head_but_no.html # A monad as a generalized monoid; this is clear since a monad is a monoid in a certain category, # A monad as a tool for studying algebraic gadgets; for example, a group can be described by a certain monad. Monads are used in the theory of pairs of adjoint functors, and they generalize closure operato ...

Rule Of Three (writing)
The rule of three is a writing principle which suggests that a trio of entities such as events or characters is more humorous, satisfying, or effective than other numbers. The audience of this form of text is also thereby more likely to remember the information conveyed because having 3, three entities combines both brevity and rhythm with having the smallest amount of information to create a pattern. Slogans, film titles, and a variety of other things have been structured in threes, a tradition that grew out of oral storytelling and continues in narrative fiction. Examples include the Three Little Pigs, Three Billy Goats Gruff, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and the Three Musketeers. Similarly, adjectives are often grouped in threes to emphasize an idea. Meaning The rule of three can refer to a collection of three words, phrases, sentences, lines, paragraphs/stanzas, chapters/sections of writing and even Trilogy, whole books. The three elements together are known as a triad. ...

Triple Metre
Triple metre (or Am. triple meter, also known as triple time) is a musical metre characterized by a ''primary'' division of 3 beats to the bar, usually indicated by 3 (simple) or 9 ( compound) in the upper figure of the time signature, with , and being the most common examples. In these signatures, beats form groups of three, establishing a triple meter feel in the music or song. The upper figure being divisible by three does not of itself indicate triple metre; for example, a time signature of usually indicates compound duple metre, and similarly usually indicates compound quadruple metre. Shown below are a simple and a compound triple drum pattern. \new Staff \new Staff Stylistic differences In popular music, the metre is most often quadruple,Schroedl, Scott (2001). ''Play Drums Today!'', p. 42. Hal Leonard. . but this does not mean that triple metre does not appear. In jazz, this and other more adventurous metres have become more common since Dave Brubeck's ...

Triple Jump
The triple jump, sometimes referred to as the hop, step and jump or the hop, skip and jump, is a track and field event, similar to long jump. As a group, the two events are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". The competitor runs down the track and performs a hop, a bound and then a jump into the sand pit. The triple jump was inspired by accounts of lengthy jumps at the ancient Olympic Games and has been a Olympic Games, modern Olympics event since the Games' inception in 1896. According to World Athletics rules, "the hop shall be made so that an athlete lands first on the same foot as that from which he has taken off; in the step he shall land on the other foot, from which, subsequently, the jump is performed." The male Triple jump world record progression, world record holder is Jonathan Edwards (triple jumper), Jonathan Edwards of the United Kingdom, with a jump of . The female world record holder is Yulimar Rojas of Venezuela, with a jump of . History Historical sources ...

Triple Point
In thermodynamics, the triple point of a substance is the temperature and pressure at which the three Phase (matter), phases (gas, liquid, and solid) of that substance coexist in thermodynamic equilibrium.. It is that temperature and pressure at which the sublimation (phase transition), sublimation, Melting, fusion, and vaporisation curves meet. For example, the triple point of Mercury (element), mercury occurs at a temperature of and a pressure of 0.165 Milli, mPascal (unit), Pa. In addition to the triple point for solid, liquid, and gas phases, a triple point may involve more than one solid phase, for substances with multiple polymorphism (materials science), polymorphs. Helium-4 is unusual in that it has no sublimation/deposition curve and therefore no triple points where its solid phase meets its gas phase. Instead, it has a vapor-liquid-superfluid point, a solid-liquid-superfluid point, a solid-solid-liquid point, and a solid-solid-superfluid point. None of these should be ...

TripleS (group)
TripleS (; ; stylized as tripleS) is a South Korean 24-member multinational girl group formed by Modhaus. The group's concept is that each member has the special ability "S", and they will join forces to demonstrate their abilities through the "Dimension" that will be recreated every season with new concepts. They made their official debut as a group on February 13, 2023, with their extended play (EP) '' Assemble''. Method Ringing
Method ringing (also known as scientific ringing) is a form of change ringing in which the ringers commit to memory the rules for generating each change of sequence, and pairs of bell (instrument), bells are affected. This creates a form of bell music which is continually changing, but which cannot be discerned as a conventional melody. It is a way of sounding continually changing mathematical permutations. It is distinct from call changes, where the ringers are instructed on how to generate each new change by calls from a conductor, and strictly, only two adjacent bells swap their position at each change. In method ringing, the ringers are guided from permutation to permutation by following the rules of a ''method.'' Ringers typically learn a particular method by studying its "blue line", a diagram which shows its structure. The underlying mathematics, mathematical basis of method ringing is intimately linked to group theory. The basic building block of method ringing is plain h ...
