Tommy And Tuppence
Tommy and Tuppence are two fictional detectives, recurring characters in the work of Agatha Christie. Their full names are Thomas Beresford and his wife Prudence (née Cowley). Tommy and Tuppence first appeared in Christie's ''The Secret Adversary'' (1922). They started out their career in search of adventure and money, and the detecting life soon proved profitable and very exciting. Arthur Ferrier
Arthur Ferrier (1891 – 27 May 1973) was a Scottish artist, illustrator and cartoonist. Ferrier was born and started work in Glasgow, Scotland as an analytical chemist. He freelanced as a cartoonist for the '' Daily Record'' there. He moved to London and drew joke cartoons for a number of weekly magazines, including ''Punch'', ''The Humorist'' and ''London Opinion''. In 1930, he produced a weekly strip glamour cartoon called "Film Fanny". A London paper, the '' Sunday Pictorial'', published his glamour drawing under the title "Our Dumb Blonde", which ran from 1939 to 1946. A comic strip called "Spotlight on Sally" in the ''Pictorial'' was followed by another called "Eve". The Agatha Christie short story collection '' Partners in Crime'' was adapted as a 13-part radio serial broadcast on the BBC's London, Midland and Scottish Home Service and transmitted from Monday, April 13 to Monday, July 13, 1953. The half-hour episodes starred Richard Attenborough as Tommy and Sheila Sim as Tuppence, taking advantage of the actors' then-current starring roles in ''The Mousetrap''. A cold case is a crime, or a suspected crime, that has not yet been fully resolved and is not the subject of a current criminal investigation, but for which new information could emerge from new witness testimony, re-examined archives, new or retained material evidence, or fresh activities of a suspect. A fifth column is any group of people who undermine a larger group or nation from within, usually in favor of an enemy group or another nation.
