Tilburg
Tilburg () is a city and municipality in the Netherlands, in the southern province of North Brabant. With a population of 222,601 (1 July 2021), it is the second-largest city or municipality in North Brabant after Eindhoven and the seventh-largest in the Netherlands as a whole. Tilburg University is located in Tilburg, as are Avans University of Applied Sciences and Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Tilburg is known for its ten-day-long funfair, held in July each year. The Monday during the funfair is called "Roze Maandag" (Pink Monday) and is primarily LGBT-oriented. There are three railway stations within the municipality: Tilburg, Tilburg Universiteit and Tilburg Reeshof. The "Spoorzone" area around Tilburg Central station, once a Dutch Railways train maintenance yard, has been purchased by the city and is being transformed into an urban zone. Tilburg University is a public university, public research university specializing in the social and behavioral sciences, economics, law, business sciences, theology and humanities, located in Tilburg in the southern part of the Netherlands. Tilburg University has a student population of about 20,284 students, about 18 percent of whom are international students. This percentage has steadily increased over the past years. Tilburg University offers both Dutch language, Dutch-and English-taught programs. In 2019, 48 of the total 71 (21 bachelor and 50 master programs) were English-taught. Tilburg Railway Station
Tilburg railway station is a railway station located in Tilburg in the province of North Brabant, Netherlands. The station was opened on 5 October 1863 and is located on the Breda–Eindhoven railway and Tilburg–Nijmegen railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS). North of this train station used to be the large Tilburg Works, where large scale work were carried out on locomotives. Since 2013 these works are carried out northeast of the city in a new industrial area, called Loven-Noord, along the Tilburg–Nijmegen railway. Heuvelse Kerk
The Heuvelse kerk (''Heuvel church''; also Sint-Jozefkerk) is a neo-Gothic Catholic church in the center of the Dutch city Tilburg. Dedicated to Saint Joseph, it is one of two major Catholic churches in the city center together with the Heikese kerk. It is located along the square Heuvel, after which it is named. A 1921 statue of the Sacred Heart is located in front of the building. Construction of the church was divided into two phases due to financial constraints. The first part of the Heuvelse kerk was built in the period 1871–73, while the second phase took place between 1887 and 1889 and included the current front facade with its two towers. The church was consecrated in 1889 by the bishop of the Diocese of 's-Hertogenbosch. It was built in the garden of a barracks and was meant to accommodate Tilburg's increasing population. Brabantse Stedenrij () is a term used in Dutch urban planning to designate the polycentric city region in the province of North Brabant, Netherlands. It might loosely be translated into English as "Brabantine City Row" (a term not attested in English outside Wikipedia until LinkedIn adopted it in August 2020). Its population is about 2 million.
