Originally established as Aviation Equipment Holding, it was given its current name in 2015. The Holding incorporates 36 enterprises of aviation industry located all over the Russian Federation . Nowadays, the company has a 51% share of the components market in the Russian aviation industry and manufactures more than 20000 products. NPP Start - Start Machine-Building Design Bureau (russian: НПП «Старт») is a company based in Yekaterinburg, Russia. It is part of the Technodinamika holding (Rostec group). The Start Machine Building Design Bureau was a leading center for the design of launchers and ground support equipment for missiles and aircraft. The plant began to transition to civil production after the RK-55 (SSC-X-4) cruise missile, for which Start designed the launchers, was eliminated under the INF Treaty in the late 1980s. The Mil Mi-17 (NATO reporting name: Hip) is a Soviet-designed Russian military helicopter family introduced in 1975 (Mi-8M), continuing in production at two factories, in Kazan and Ulan-Ude. The Mil Mi-28 (NATO reporting name "Havoc") is a Russian all-weather, day-night, military tandem, two-seat anti-armor attack helicopter. It is an attack helicopter with no intended secondary transport capability, better optimized than the Mil Mi-24 gunship for the role.
