Super 6 Baseball And Softball
The Super 6 Baseball and Softball is a tournament between national baseball teams in Europe, governed by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB), the European Softball Federation (ESF) and the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). It was held for the first and only time from September 18 to 23, 2018 in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. It was organized by the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB), the City of Hoofddorp and the local baseball club Hoofddorp Pioniers. It was featured by the top 6 nations of the 2016 European Baseball Championship, 2016 European Championship and ESF Women's Championship. Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each, taking turns batting and fielding. Andrew Jerome Maggi (born May 16, 1989) is an American professional baseball infielder who is a free agent. Maggi is of Italian descent and he played for the Italy national baseball team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Giuseppe Mazzanti (born 5 April 1983) is an Italian baseball player who competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2009 World Baseball Classic, and 2019 European Baseball Championship. Curt Smith (born 24 June 1961) is a British singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and co-founding member of the pop rock band Tears for Fears along with childhood friend Roland Orzabal. Orlando Yntema Peña (born February 21, 1986) is a Dutch professional baseball pitcher for the Curaçao Neptunus in the Dutch Baseball League.
