Studio One (software)
Studio One is a digital audio workstation (DAW) application, used to create, record, mix and master music and other audio, with functionality also available for video. Initially developed as a successor to the KRISTAL Audio Engine, it was acquired by PreSonus and first released in 2009 for macOS and Microsoft Windows. In addition to the commercial editions of the software (known as ''Studio One Artist'' and ''Studio One Professional''), PreSonus also distributes a free edition, with reduced functionality (known as ''Studio One Prime''). The Professional edition is also available as part of the ''PreSonus Sphere'' monthly subscription program. ''Studio One'' is an American anthology drama television series that was adapted from a radio series. It was created in 1947 by Canadian director Fletcher Markle, who came to CBS from the CBC. It premiered on November 7, 1948 and ended on September 29, 1958, with a total of 467 episodes over the course of 10 seasons. History Radio On April 29, 1947, Fletcher Markle launched the 60-minute CBS Radio series with an adaptation of Malcolm Lowry's ''Under the Volcano''. Broadcast on Tuesdays, opposite ''Fibber McGee and Molly'' and ''The Bob Hope Show'' at 9:30 pm, ET, the radio series continued until July 27, 1948, showcasing such adaptations as '' Dodsworth'', '' Pride and Prejudice'', ''The Red Badge of Courage'', and ''Ah, Wilderness''. ''Studio One'' is a live daily English-language lifestyle television program that originated from United Arab Emirates and was broadcast on Dubai One to 16 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Studio One (record Label)
Studio One is one of Jamaica's most renowned record labels and recording studios; it has been described as the Motown of Jamaica. The record label was involved with most of the major music movements in Jamaica during the 1960s and 1970s, including ska, rocksteady, reggae, dub and dancehall. History Studio One was founded by Clement "Coxsone" Dodd in 1954, and the first recordings were cut in 1963 on Brentford Road in Kingston. Amongst its earliest records were "Easy Snappin" by Theophilus Beckford, backed by Clue J & His Blues Blasters, and "This Man is Back" by trombonist Don Drummond. Dodd had previously issued music on a series of other labels, including World Disc, and had run Sir Coxsone the Downbeat, one of the largest and most reputable sound systems in the Kingston ghettos. Studio One (recording Studio)
Studio One was a recording studio located in Doraville, Georgia, a suburban hamlet northeast of Atlanta. The address was 3864 Oakcliff Industrial Court, Doraville GA 30340. It is now occupied by a non related business and used as a warehouse. The studio was designed and constructed in 1970 by audio engineer Rodney Mills, with the support of music publisher Bill Lowery (record producer), Bill Lowery and future Atlanta Rhythm Section manager Buddy Buie. Lowery and Buie, along with the latter's songwriting partner J. R. Cobb and the Classics IV's manager Paul Cochran, were the studio's original owners. ''Studio 1'' is the third studio album by English girl group All Saints, released on 10 November 2006, by Parlophone. It was released following a five-year hiatus during which the bandmembers had pursued solo careers. The lead single released from the album was "Rock Steady" which was released on 6 November 2006 and peaked at No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart. "Chick Fit" was released as a download-only promotional single. The album debuted at No. 40 on the UK Albums Chart and it was certified Gold in the UK. Wolfgang Voigt (born 1961) is an electronic music DJ and producer from Cologne, Germany, known for his output under various aliases, such as Gas. He signed on numerous record labels, including Warp, Harvest, Raster-Noton, Force Inc, Astral Industries and Kompakt. The latter was co-founded by Voigt alongside Michael Mayer and Jürgen Paape. Studio One, currently known as The Factory, is an LGBT nightclub in West Hollywood, California. History The Studio One building was originally owned by William Fox and was used as a Norden bombsight facility during World War 2. In 1968 the building was bought another d transformed into The Factory nightclub, named after the furniture manufacturing business in the lower floor of the building. The Factory became a popular 1960s-style discothèque that was frequented by Hollywood celebrities, but it only lasted a few years. Studio One was founded on the same site in the early 1970s by part-owner Scott Forbes, a Boston optometrist. In the 1990s it was bought by Sandy Sachs and renamed to Axis.
