Steel City Wrestling
Steel City Wrestling (SCW) was a professional wrestling promotion that was founded in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 1994 by Norm Connors. It was the top promotion in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area during the 1990s, along with the National Wrestling Alliance-affiliated Pro Wrestling eXpress, and was regarded by many in the industry as one of the best independent promotions on the East Coast of the United States. For many years, SCW was the home promotion of Pittsburgh "legends" such as Lord Zoltan and T. Rantula as well as many prominent indy stars in the region including Cueball Carmichael, Dennis Gregory, Lou Marconi, Jimmy Cicero, Frank Stalletto, Tom Brandi, Mike Quackenbush, Reckless Youth, and The Bad Street Boys (Joey Matthews and Christian York). Thomas Brandi (born July 9, 1966) is an American professional wrestler. He is best known for his appearances in the World Wrestling Federation from 1996 to 1998 under the ring name Salvatore Sincere. Steel City Wrestling Heavyweight Championship
The SCW Heavyweight Championship was a professional wrestling championship in Steel City Wrestling (SCW). The title was the top championship of the SCW promotion. It was the first singles championship established in SCW, having been introduced in 1994, in the finals of a four-man tournament. The inaugural champion was T. The Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD) is a school for deaf and hard of hearing children in Edgewood, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1869. Deaf Wrestlefest
Deaf Wrestlefest is a professional wrestling supercard, produced annually in late April or early May by Lord Zoltan, a longtime wrestler and sports promoter based in Western Pennsylvania. It is considered a major fundraiser for the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf and has raised, on average, between $3,000 and $4,000 per show. Proceeds from the event benefit Pennsylvania school programs to educate Deaf students. The event was first produced in 1994, originally as part of the Steel City Wrestling promotion, and produced six editions until the promotion closed in 2000, and two more independently. Brian Wohl (born April 14, 1972) is an American retired professional wrestler, better known for his ring name Julio Dinero. His real name is sometimes mistakenly given as Brian Wall. Professional wrestling career Wohl debuted in 1994 after training at the Baltimore Wrestling Factory under Axl Rotten and Hack Meyers. HHG Corporation, doing business as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), was a professional wrestling promotion and media company that was based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The promotion was founded in 1992 by Tod Gordon as National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) affiliate Eastern Championship Wrestling.
