Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai (, from th, เชียงใหม่ , nod, , เจียงใหม่ ), sometimes written as Chiengmai or Chiangmai, is the largest city in northern Thailand, the capital of Chiang Mai province and the second largest city in Thailand. Somchai Wongsawat
Somchai Wongsawat ( th, สมชาย วงศ์สวัสดิ์, ; born 31 August 1947) is a Thai politician who was the prime minister of Thailand in 2008 and a former executive member of the People's Power Party (Thailand), People's Power Party (PPP) whose political rights were disenfranchised by Constitutional Court of Thailand, the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) for five years. Prior to entering electoral politics, he had served civil service and judicial service, having been appointed Permanent Secretary of Justice (the highest non-elected position in the civil service) in 2000 by the government of Chuan Leekpai. Shinawatra University
Metharath University or Shinawatra University (SIU) is a private international university in Thailand, established by Dr.Thaksin Shinawatra and his colleagues. The campus was designed and developed by Soontorn Boonyatikarn in 1997. The Ministry of Universities granted the license for operation in 1999. The first Shinawatra University Council Meeting was held on 19 May 2000, and the first batch of students was admitted in September 2002. Pheu Thai Party
The Pheu Thai Party (PTP; th, พรรคเพื่อไทย, lit=For Thais Party, , ) is the third incarnation of a Thai political party founded by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The Pheu Thai Party was founded on 20 September 2007, as an anticipated replacement for the People's Power Party (PPP), which the Constitutional Court of Thailand dissolved less than three months later after finding party members guilty of electoral fraud. The People's Power Party was itself a replacement for Thaksin's original Thai Rak Thai Party (TRT), dissolved by the Court in May 2007 for violation of electoral laws. , Pheu Thai had 22,771 members. Paethongtarn Shinawatra
Paethongtarn Shinawatra ( th, แพทองธาร ชินวัตร, nicknamed ''Ung Ing'', born 21 August 1986), is a Thai politician and businesswoman. She is the youngest daughter of the former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra. She is serving as the Pheu Thai Party's chairwoman of the Advisory Committee on Participation and Innovation. Personal life Paethongtarn Shinawatra was born in Bangkok. She went to Saint Joseph Convent School for junior high school and Mater Dei School for high school.
