SHARP (helmet Ratings)
SHARP (the Safety Helmet Assessment and Rating Programme) is a Government of the United Kingdom, British government quality ratings scheme for motorcycle helmets, established in 2007, with the objective of improving motorcycle safety on Roads in the United Kingdom, UK roads. Helmets which are selected for testing by SHARP are purchased from consumer retailers. This ensures that the helmets tested by SHARP are exactly the same as what UK motorcyclists can buy. The helmets are tested, seven for each model, using 32 tests, which aim to measure the protection they offer the brain in impacts at a variety of speeds, and against both flat surfaces and kerbs. It rates the helmet models from one to five stars - with five being the highest, and states that a five star rated helmet "offers good levels of protection right around the helmet." Sharp (English Band)
Sharp were an English new wave band active during the mid-1980s, featuring former Jam members Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler. They released one standalone single, in 1986. History After the Jam broke up in 1982, Bruce Foxton pursued a solo career and Rick Buckler formed Time UK, featuring Jimmy Edwards on vocals. After a stop-start career that took over two years to release three singles, and a rapid dwindling of the initial public interest in the band, they effectively broke up. Foxton, finding his solo career had followed a similar path to Time UK's, recorded several tracks with Buckler and Edwards. A standalone single, "Entertain Me", was released on the independent record label Unicorn, a label created by Mark Johnson a Mod newsletter publisher. Mount Sharp () is a mountain over 3,000 m, standing 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Mount Barden in the north part of the Sentinel Range in Western Antarctica. James Ross Island () is a large island off the southeast side and near the northeastern extremity of the Antarctic Peninsula, from which it is separated by Prince Gustav Channel. Sharp Delany (-1799), was a colonel in the American Revolutionary War a legislator and the first Collector of Customs in Philadelphia, appointed by George Washington.
