Seahorses Mikawa is a Japanese professional basketball team located in Kariya and sponsored by Aisin. The team was founded in 1947. The team played in the National Basketball League (Japan), National Basketball League. In July 2015 it was announced that the team will compete in the first division of the new Japan Professional Basketball League, which commenced in October 2016. Wing Arena Kariya is an arena in Kariya, Aichi, Japan. It is located in Kariya City General Athletic Park. Description It was built in January, 2007. It has 2,376 seats (1,576 fixed, 800 temporary). It is the home arena of the SeaHorses Mikawa of the B.League, Japan's professional basketball league. Jason Capel
Jason Maurice Capel (born January 15, 1980) is an American college basketball coach, currently an assistant at Pittsburgh. He was previously the 15th head coach of the Appalachian State Mountaineers men's basketball team. He is a former basketball player for the North Carolina Tar Heels, and is the brother of Jeff Capel, former Duke University basketball player and current University of Pittsburgh head coach. Capel provided color commentary for ACC basketball games on Raycom Sports during the 2007–2008 college basketball season. As of January 2018, he was a commentator for Bein Sports. Ashante D. Johnson (born May 12, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player who played the majority of his 10-year career in Europe. College career After graduating from San Diego's Scripps Ranch High School in 1995, Johnson joined the Utah Utes men's basketball team where he redshirted the 1995–96. He played out his freshman season at Utah in 1996–97 before transferring to Cañada College in Redwood City, California, for his sophomore season in 1997–98. Takatoshi Furukawa (born October 20, 1987) is a Japanese professional basketball player who currently plays for Akita Northern Happinets in the B.League. Richie Frahm
Richard Anthony Frahm (born August 14, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player. He competed in the NCAA 3-point shootout his senior year, winning the men’s division but losing in the battle of the sexes to Rice University’s Jenny Cafferty. After he went undrafted following a college career at Gonzaga University and brief overseas stints, among others in the Philippine Basketball Association, and in Turkey, the 6'5" (1.96 m) shooting guard signed with the Seattle SuperSonics in 2003, where he played one season, averaging 3.4 points and one rebound per game.
