Scouting and Guiding in Sweden is represented by one organisation Scouterna as a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It was formed in 2012 as the successor to Svenska Scoutrådet (''The Swedish Guide and Scout Council'', SSR) which consisted of five different associations. Scouting in Sweden was founded in 1916 by Ebbe Liberath and Guiding followed in 1910. The Swedish Boy Scouts were among the charter members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922. The Girl Guides were among the founders of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1928. Swedish Scouting has close relations to the Swedish royal family. Scouterna - the Guides and Scouts of Sweden (Swedish language, Swedish for ''the Scouts'') is the national Scouting and Girl Guides, Guiding organisation of Sweden. The organisation was formed in 2012 by a restructuring of the Svenska Scoutförbundet and accepted as the successor of the Svenska Scoutrådet by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 2013. British Girlguiding Overseas (BGO) (formerly British Guides in Foreign Countries, BGIFC) was part of Girlguiding UK, operated for British nationals living overseas. With an administrative base in Commonwealth Guide Headquarters in Victoria, London, it had around 2,600 members, in two groupings, one for British Guides in countries outside the UK, including on UK military bases abroad, and one for British Guides in British Overseas Territories (BOT). The International Scout and Guide Fellowship (ISGF) is a worldwide organization of adults in support of Scouting and Girl Guides, Guiding.
