Antigua and Barbuda is an island nation made up of: Antigua island which is divided into six parishes; and of the two dependencies of Barbuda island and Redonda island. James Carlisle
Sir James Beethoven Carlisle, GCMG (born August 5, 1937) is a dentist and the former Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda. Selected by Vere Cornwall Bird (the country's first prime minister), his term ended in June 2007, after 16 years in office. Early years Carlisle was born August 5, 1937 in the village of Bolans, Antigua. He received his early schooling at Bolans Public School, before moving to the United Kingdom to continue his education at Northampton College of Advanced Technology. He then took a bachelor's degree in dentistry at the University of Dundee. In 1991, he graduated from the American School of Laser Dentistry. Hamish Arbeb Gervais Anthony (born 16 January 1971) is a former West Indian cricketer. As a fast bowling allrounder, Anthony played for both the West Indies and the United States. He also featured for the Leeward Islands and Welsh side Glamorgan. Cricket career Born in Urlings Village, Antigua, Anthony joined Glamorgan in 1990, after being recommended by his fellow countryman Viv Richards.
