Rockenfeld
Rockenfeld is an abandoned village in the Neuwied (district), Neuwied district of Feldkirchen, Neuwied, Feldkirchen, Germany. Geography The abandoned village Rockenfeld lies at 330 m above sea level on a mountain range rising from north to south between the valleys of the river ''Rockenfelder Bach'' in the west and a tributary of the ''Nonnenbach'' in the east. The ''Forst Wied'' borders to the east. The only road connection is Kreisstraße 1, which leads down to Rheinbrohl over a length of eight kilometres into the Rhine Valley. History The village was first documented in 1280 as Rukenvelt. Until 1693, it belonged to (today part of Feldkirchen). In 1846, 11 families lived in the village; starting from 1885, an official school was established, which was closed again in 1935. At the end of World War II, 50 people still lived in Rockenfeld. Winthrop Rockefeller
Winthrop Rockefeller (May 1, 1912 – February 22, 1973) was an American politician and philanthropist. Rockefeller was the fourth son and fifth child of American financer John D. Rockefeller Jr. and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller. He is one of the grandchildren of Standard Oil co-founder John D. Rockefeller. As an entrepreneur in Arkansas, he financed many local projects, including a number of new medical clinics in poorer areas, before being elected state governor in 1966, as the first Republican governor of Arkansas since Reconstruction. Despite accusations of lacking insight into the concerns of low-income voters, Rockefeller was re-elected in 1968, and went on to complete the controversial integration of Arkansas schools. Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Rockefeller Street" written by Sven Lõhmus. The song was performed by Getter Jaani. The Estonian broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) organised the national final ''Eesti Laul 2011'' in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2011 contest in Düsseldorf, Germany. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten songs competed in each semi-final and the top five from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury panel and a public vote selected the top two to qualify to the superfinal. Rockefeller State Park Preserve
Rockefeller State Park Preserve is a state park in Mount Pleasant, New York in the eastern foothills of the Hudson River in Westchester County. Common activities in the park include horse-riding, walking, jogging, running, bird-watching, and fishing. The park has a rich history and was donated to the State of New York over time by the Rockefeller family beginning in 1983. A section of the park, the Rockwood Hall property, fronts the Hudson River. It was formerly the private residence of William Rockefeller, and began use as a New York state park in the early 1970s. In 2018, the park was added to New York's State Register of Historic Places.
