Magnetic Tape
Magnetic tape is a medium for magnetic storage made of a thin, magnetizable coating on a long, narrow strip of plastic film. It was developed in Germany in 1928, based on the earlier magnetic wire recording from Denmark. Devices that use magnetic tape could with relative ease record and playback audio, visual, and binary computer data. Magnetic tape revolutionized sound recording and reproduction and broadcasting. It allowed radio, which had always been broadcast live, to be recorded for later or repeated airing. Since the early 1950s, magnetic tape has been used with computers to store large quantities of data and is still used for backup purposes. Magnetic tape begins to degrade after 10–20 years and therefore is not an ideal medium for long-term archival storage. Rewind (The Wire)
Rewind is the annual year-in-review issue of ''The Wire (magazine), The Wire'', a British music magazine founded in 1982. The year-end issues have been published every January since 1986, adopting the current "Rewind" title in 1997. Each year-end issue has included an annual critics' poll, Collation, collating critics' ballots into a list of the year's best releases. The polls survey writers affiliated with the magazine. Across its history, critics' polls in ''The Wire'' have tended to reflect the magazine's eclectic, avant-garde sensibility and coverage of experimental music across a broad variety of genres. Move (styled as M.O.V.E or m.o.v.e, and previously as move) was a Japanese band. The band consisted of record producer and DJ t-kimura (), rapper motsu () and singer yuri (). t-kimura left the band in 2009. History Biography t-kimura formed the band move and by 1997 they released their first single "Rock it Down", but they achieved fame when their follow-up single, "Around the world" was used in the anime ''Initial D''. In 2005, the band changed their name by adding abbreviation marks between letters and are currently still signed with Avex Group. ''Rewind (1971–1984)'' is a compilation album by English rock band The Rolling Stones, released in 1984. Coming only three years after '' Sucking in the Seventies'', the album was primarily compiled to mark the end of the band's alliance with Warner Music (in North America) and EMI (all other territories), both of whom were the distributors of Rolling Stones Records. It is the second Rolling Stones album to include a lyric sheet (after 1978's ''Some Girls''). For the first time since 1969's ''Through the Past, Darkly (Big Hits Vol. 2)'', the UK and US editions of ''Rewind (1971–1984)'' would each feature different track listings, reflecting the individual tastes of both territories. ''Rewind'' is the ninth studio album by American country music group Rascal Flatts. It was released on May 13, 2014 via Big Machine Records. The album was produced by Rascal Flatts, Howard Benson and Dann Huff. A deluxe edition is available at Target with four bonus tracks. With the exception of the deluxe edition track "She Must Like Broken Hearts", this is the group's only album to not feature any songwriting credits from the group themselves. It is their final album to be produced by Huff, whose relationship with the group began with their 2006 album ''Me and My Gang''.
