RTÉ Radio
RTÉ Radio is a division of the Irish national broadcasting organisation Raidió Teilifís Éireann. RTÉ Radio broadcasts four analogue channels and five digital channels nationwide. Founded in January 1926 as 2RN, the first broadcaster in the Irish Free State, in 1933 the service became Radio Athlone (Irish ''Raidió Áth Luain'') and in 1938 was renamed as Radio Éireann. In 1966, after launching a television service, it became Raidió Teilifís Éireann, or RTÉ. RTÉ Radio is, like its television parent, a statutory body, overseen by a board appointed by the Government of Ireland, with general management in the hands of the RTÉ Executive Board, headed by the Director-General. RTÉ Radio is regulated by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. Raidi (; ; also written Ragdi; born August, 1938) is a Tibetan politician of the People's Republic of China. RTÉ Pulse is an electronic dance music station from Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ), Ireland's national broadcaster. It plays a varied mix of dance music, with a small number of shows covering RnB. It started broadcasting in April 2008, but had an official launch alongside its sister services on 1 December 2008. RTÉ Gold
RTÉ Gold is an Irish radio station broadcasting on Saorview, online, and Virgin Media. RTE Gold is also available on Eir TV (eirtv /eir vision) eir Background The station plays music from the 1950s to the 2000s. Weekday programming has presenter led programmes from 7am - 2pm. At weekends there is a full presenter led schedule from 8am to 8pm. RTÉ Chill is a digital radio station of the Irish public-service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). It broadcasts mostly chillout and ambient music as well as other low-tempo genres and typically features the output of such cutting-edge artists as Leftfield, The Orb, Sigur Rós, and Juana Molina. It started broadcasting in March 2008, but had an official launch alongside its sister services on 1 December 2008. The station, which timeshares with RTÉjr Radio is on air between 21:00 and 7:00, and is available on channel 207 on Saorview, Ireland's free-to-air Digital Terrestrial Television service. RTÉ Lyric FM (stylised as RTÉ lyric fm) is an Irish classical-music and arts radio station, owned and operated by RTÉ. The station, which is based in Limerick, was launched in 1999 and is available on FM throughout Ireland (in some areas also on DAB), on Sky Digital satellite in Ireland and the United Kingdom, and via the Internet worldwide. In radio, longwave, long wave or long-wave, and commonly abbreviated LW, refers to parts of the radio spectrum with wavelengths longer than what was originally called the medium-wave broadcasting band.
