Pushmonkey Albums
Pushmonkey is an American rock band from Austin, Texas, United States. Originally known as Billy Pilgrim, they first changed their name to Mad Hatter and later to just Hatter. The band experienced minor radio success with the song "Handslide" from their self-titled album. They were featured in season 7 of ''Melrose Place''. They appeared on Ozzfest in 1999 in support of the album, as well as Woodstock '99. In 2007, the band won the first FameCast.com Battle of the Bands contest. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958April 21, 2016), more commonly known mononymously as Prince, was an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. The Judy's
The Judy's were a Pearland, Texas-based punk and new wave band that flourished from the late 1970s through the early 1980s. History The Judy's song, "Guyana Punch", recounted the infamous Jonestown massacre. Several of their songs were topical: "Dogs" refers to the Son of Sam murderer; "Radiation Squirm" refers to the Three Mile Island accident; "How's Gary" refers to the execution of convicted killer Gary Gilmore; and "Vacation in Tehran" refers to the Iranian hostage crisis, among others. On December 1, 2007, The Judy's announced the opening of their own label and website, Wasted Talent Records. Anchor host Dale Dudley, originally heard on KFMX in Lubbock, Texas, was recruited to Austin's KLBJ-FM to work alongside Clark Ryan as the morning drive-time show partner in the 90s—that lasted for 5 years. KLBJ-FM (93.7 MHz) is a commercial radio station in Austin, Texas broadcasting an album-oriented rock radio format billed as "The Rock of Austin." KLBJ-FM is owned by Sinclair Telecable Inc. (unrelated to television broadcaster Sinclair Broadcast Group, who owns CBS station KEYE) and operated under the name Waterloo Media. The station was once owned by the family of President Lyndon Baines Johnson, and still carries his initials as its call letters. KLBJ-FM has studios and offices along Interstate 35 in North Austin.
