Prophet is an independent record label based in Memphis, Tennessee, formerly owned by DJ Paul and Juicy J. As a group act, Prophet Entertainment goes by the stage name Prophet Posse. From 1991 to 1994 it launched new independent musical artists linked mainly to the strands of American music such as crunk, Hip hop, Gangsta rap, Southern Hip Hop and Horrorcore. As of 2009, the label is assumed defunct. History DJ Paul, Juicy J, along with Nick Scarfo, founded Prophet in 1991. Three 6 Mafia would release the original Mystic Stylez and Chapter 1: The End on the label. DJ Paul and Juicy J would soon have a falling out with Nick Scarfo and as a result, left Prophet and founded their own label Hypnotize Minds, taking Three 6 Mafia with them. Nick Scarfo bought artist Indo G out of his contract with Hypnotize Minds for $120,000 and would go on to sue DJ Paul and Juicy J, though they ended up settling all matters out of court. DJ Paul
Paul Duane Beauregard (born January 12, 1977), better known by his stage name DJ Paul, is an American DJ, record producer, and rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He is a founding member of hip hop group Three 6 Mafia and uncle of the late rapper Lord Infamous. He is also a part owner of FaZe Clan. DJ Paul started his career in the late 1980s as a DJ and released a number of solo tapes, as well as three collaboration albums with Lord Infamous as The Serial Killaz. Juicy J was introduced and the three founded the group Three 6 Mafia, going on to achieve national success in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their 2000 album, '' When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1'', debuted at number six on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart and was certified platinum. Later followed by ''Da Unbreakables'' in 2003 and ''Most Known Unknown'' in 2005, both of which were commercially successful. La Chat
Chastity Daniels (born March 21, 1978), known professionally as La Chat, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. She is best known for her association with the Hypnotize Minds record label. She was one of the two female members of Memphis-based hip hop group, Three 6 Mafia, alongside Gangsta Boo. Career In 2001, La Chat made a guest appearance on the hit Project Pat song, ''Chickenhead'', which would go on to receive Gold record status. La Chat left Hypnotize Minds some time after the release of her debut album, ''Murder She Spoke'' (2001). She went on to release a number of albums and mixtapes for different record labels in the following years. In 2010, La Chat won Female Rap Artist of the Year at the Knocdown-SCM Awards. La Chat and Gangsta Boo's collaborative extended play An extended play record, usually referred to as an EP, is a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single but fewer than an album or LP record.

Recording sessions took place at Cotton Row Recording Studio, House of Blues Studios, and Sheldon's Crib, with producers DJ Paul and Juicy J. Eric Gales
Eric Gales (born October 29, 1974), also known as Raw Dawg, is an American blues rock guitarist, originally hailed as a child prodigy. , Gales has recorded nineteen albums for major record labels and has done session and tribute work. He has also contributed vocals on several records by the Memphis rap groups Prophet Posse and Three 6 Mafia under the name Lil E. Career Gales picked up the guitar at age four. His older siblings, Eugene and Manuel (Little Jimmy King), taught him songs and licks when he was young, in the style of Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, B.B. King and others. In 1985, the young Gales began to play at blues competitions with his brother Eugene backing him on bass. Although Gales plays a right-handed guitar "upside-down" (with the bass E string on the bottom), he is not naturally left-handed; he was taught by his brother, who is left-handed, and never second-guessed the untraditional technique.
